Go Inside
It’s winter. It’s cold. And no amount of complaining will change the fact that for a week I didn’t get to cycle….not one day. I have an aversion to frostbite. And cold. And Arctic air on the Gulf Coast.
The polar vortex bomb cyclone–or whatever they called it–helped us become aware of the unmistakable fact that it’s winter. That reality could be seen on our startled and surprised faces.
Shortened days and lower temperatures invite us to go within. When we pay attention, nature is always guiding us toward balance.
Last week my meditations were deeper. I spent more time creating music , sitting in stillness and snuggling with my wild animal children. I listened when Winter said, Go Inside! And it made all the difference in my experience of it.
