Simone is a storyteller and artist. She uses her skills as an underwater and nature photographer, writer and group facilitator to raise awareness of our ocean planet. A close relationship with nature has cultivated a deep, abiding love within her for all things wild.

Her intention is to help humans reconnect with nature to gain understanding and appreciation for the interconnectedness of all life.

Simone has worked in various positions including state park naturalist, psychotherapist, massage and bodywork therapist, community college instructor, scuba instructor, shamanic facilitator, and drum circle leader.

Currently she focuses her energy on writing, nature and underwater photography, and working with those wishing to deepen their connection and relationship with nature.

Her undergraduate degree is in Outdoor Recreation with a minor in Resource Management from Auburn University and her master’s degree in Counselor Education was earned at Auburn University in Montgomery. Simone is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (retired). She has trained as a Reiki Master/Teacher, Polarity Therapy instructor, shamanic facilitator and musician.

Simone enjoys open water diving and cave diving as well as stand up paddle boarding, hiking, and cycling. She volunteers with sea turtle and manatee programs.
